Mounted on paper board. All signed JW. They look like original prints rather offset.
    Any idea of the artist?
    Thanks!

They look like the artist's personal Christmas cards.

This was popular back in the 1970s.
    I did it myself.

I forget what you called it. You had a block of wood with linoleum, transfered your design and cut it out with a special knife (that I also can't remember the name of). Once completed, you inked it and pressed it on your card stock.
The white space would have been what was cut away, what was left was raised and took the ink to be pressed onto the paper.

Yes, block prints. I bet the artist's first name is James based on the signature. Other than that, it will be tough to pin down.

Linocut here in UK. Sometimes carved lino on top of wooden block but if you just used thick hessian backed Lino could print by passing it through a mangle.

Tend to call linocuts block prints here whether attached to a block or not. I think it is assumed that most modern ones are linocuts since few if any modern artists are actually cutting wood blocks these days.
