Featured Small Cup Silver Mark ID Needed

I have 50 of these small cups (punch?) that weigh about 2.5 ounces each. They measure about 1.75 inches tall and about 3 inches wide.

There are two hallmarks on the bottom and one I just recently found on the side of the handle. That mark looks like a dog head with the number 3.

Looks like Austria-Hungary before 1922.

LM is the maker's mark.

 

The "dog mark" means .800 silver.

Have you tried drinking out of these without dribbbling ?

Looking at the inside I'd say a glass lining is missing ( blue cobalt )



punch glasses and cups usually have a rounded base interior ... in my life anyway.

 

while they do look like cups....maybe they were meant 4 a different use...?

With the handles taller than the sides, I would guess they definitely needed liners. I love them!
