I'm a little confused by it. The signature on the painting looks like "Yoshio" but the name on the back looks like "Y.Otatsme" Jan 1972. It was either painted for or given to Mr Max Gerke. I'm having a hard time translating the Japanese characters, one on the right seems to translate to "plum" so may a title for the painting of "plum trees" maybe? Any help with the artist or translation appreciated. It measures 9"L x 6.25"W.
