This one caught my eye but I'm a novice. It was cheap. Is it anything interesting or is it a student's work in which case I overpaid at $3?

    Thanks for your opinions.

It's 3.5 inches tall, about the same wide and a little less deep. It's also glazed on the inside.

Great form & way better bet than a Powerball ticket-MCM ? Keep looking for a mark/signature.

Well, certainly better than a LOSING ticket... :angelic:

Here's some close ups of marks on the bottom. I think they're incidental, but maybe someone else will see what I can't.

Wonder if this is an OLD pot.....looks like a cow's head where I've marked, along with symbols and writing (I don't think English) around the top rim/edge that I've enlarged a bit.......and I too am a novice on things like this......

@Aquitaine Thank you for looking and trying your crazy highlighting skills! I've looked carefully and don't see anything except scuffs and dirt and the like.

I don't know if it's old but it's not new.

Those little handles seem to match. Thanks for the lead.

It almost looks like someone was trying to replicate a basket look effect in pottery?

Yeah that's true-- that's probably part of why it appealed to me.

@Potteryplease, maybe the image I was working with was just slightly blurry enough that my program was trying to make just lines into a language:happy::rolleyes:!! The last image you posted was 'crystal crisp'!!!!!

Cool. I dunno what it is, but it's cool. Some type of utility ware, I think, like a storage jar. Missing a lid. Chinese? Dunno. But did I say it was cool? :D

Yeah-- thanks. A small investment, well spent just for the fun of trying to ID it.
