Featured Small oval painting, Chalk ware? frame

    Painting is signed M Blanco, i haven't been able to find much on this artist yet. The frame is 12" wide x 10" and very heavy at 3 lbs. has certificate on the back also
    Is it possibly chalk ware or Plaster and how would i tell.
    Help appreciated as always.

    Well, it's not an antique, anyway.

    Late 20th C.decorator piece in the style of the mid Victorian fruit painters like the Clare brothers.
