Any ideas on this little bottle please?
It’s c7cm tall with a sealed metal top. There is a small hole in the cap where something has been snapped off?
    Marked HD (run together) 11.
Any guesses as to what it was for?
    Thankyou :)

In the UK ridged blue bottles were predominantly used for poison., so be careful if there are any dregs left in it.

Yah! My first impression was Morphine, and the hole for the entry of the injection needle. (Have I been reading too many British mysteries?)

Funnily enough I’ve got it in a sealed bag just in case!

The metal tops were heated up so they expanded and slipped over the opening of the bottle, when cooled they contracted and sealed it up.
It does look like a hypodermic needle could be inserted.

The ridges along the sides could also indicate it contained something dangerous or something to be careful with.

Old poison bottles used to have spikes along the sides & on the stopper. I don't know if you saw that tiny sopper I sold a year or so back.

The reasoning is someone would not accidentally grab the wrong bottle because the spikes would alert you of something dangerous.

Just to say that the mark seems to me as Cyrillic letter "Ю", not "HD". No idea which mark it is.

"Ю" in Russian is often used as a mark on jewelry as it comes from "Ювелирный" which means "Jewelry"

I tried to find something like this in Russian with no success.
IMO, it is a bottle for medicine injection, remember from my childhood, they were sealed and with a hole on the metal top, but below the metal there was rubber and the nurse pierced the needle through the rubber and took out the liquid for injection.

That is logical with the hole in the centre.
    Thanks Iva.
