    Hey everyone,

Just a random/quick post from my hunting today. If you're up for it, does anyone want to try to smell out the silver? Here's a group of images. You can only pick one item from the photos to inquire about, what do you pick?

Is there only one? I would want a closer look at Walter's 15 years of service presentation lighter.

I don’t know if there’s more than one but I only inquired about one. :)

So the challenge is not to pick out the silver, it's to guess which one you guessed was silver. Sniff out is right, & we can't smell them.

You guys are too smart and too fast. Now there’s an art to getting confirmation from a seller without giving up too many details. In this instance I asked the seller if they could show me a picture of the other side of the lighter and the bottom.

I inquired about this one because of the tone, because it’s a 40 year work anniversary gift, and because of the soft case.

I'd want to look at the last trench lighter in the second to last pic, and would hope for Dunhill...

Eh, the Zippo's probably the pricier piece even if that one is a sterling Dunhill - Zippo collectors can be a rabid bunch...

Dunhill, but doesn’t appear to be of the sterling variety.

    Hi,
I did not enjoy this quiz that much. Reminded me of losing my 10kt gold Zippo. When I quit smoking for the first time I hid my gold Zippo and sterling silver cigarette case under a loose board in the bedroom. When we divorced I forgot all about my lighter and case. Remembered about them 10 years later.
Alway wanted to go back and ask the new owners if I could uncover their hiding space.:eek::eek::eek::eek:. It is now 50 years later and I can see the exact place where they are hidden.

That is sad to lose something as cool as those items are. Oh, but could you imagine how amazing that discovery would be for a teenager.... or anyone for that matter, if someone managed to uncover it, they probably tore up the house looking for more treasure.

However, the house may have changed hands three times since.(LOL) Still, I'd love to find gold under my floorboards!

nice lighter Mr Nate:) you might know this, but in case you don't, always pull the innards out and make sure it is marked Zippo, sometimes they have been switched out and to a collector it is no longer a Zippo lighter, just a Zippo case:)
