Indeed, one out of every 10,000 might be of any worthy age these days, but I couldn’t pass up this one. Appears metal with bone/ivory?? With some genuine stones, not glass. Sadly I wouldn’t be surprised just how far off I might be. No spoon :( 3” tall, one large and one small stone missing too.
@Any Jewelry, and anyothers chime in please. :)

Hey I might be off, maybe it is an older piece, just looked a bit fussy to me to be old - Oh and even though some of the pieces on the link are terrific, half the stuff on that link is Japanese and some very definitely post ww2 ...so ....

Just saying, all the stones are real not completely symmetrical, nor same size and are not flat/solid in color. Not saying anyone is wrong just need more info which led you to your conclusion. Always willing to listen and learn. Is it bone or not? Ivory or not? I will add any photo requested.

Keeping in mind, I believe in the very first sentence in my original post.

Additionally, the drawing seem to be etched in, and then drawn over the etching. Seems like a lot of unnecessary work for a $2 ebay sale :)

The image would be engraved then the maker would rub black pigment into the design. It could be ivory too.
The eBay sellers don't sell these for $2, there's a wide range of bait out there in the "Tibetan Silver" snuff bottle universe, you can get some for ~$30 all the way up to close to $1000 ...there's a "rare" "19thc" one with coral, turquoise and a carved "yak bone" ivory panel being offered by a US seller right now, and he/she is asking about $800.
Personally I would avoid all of them or any "Tibetan Silver"

Thank for the info. I am pretty sure this is not silver and not attempting to be, but I understand what you are saying.

I don't think "Tibetan Silver" is actually silver either.:D

Depends on the Tibetan who makes the piece.
