The glass was made in two layers, black over dark amber. The black layer was carved with a fish and lotus motif to reveal the amber glass. There is also some subtle carving on the amber glass. Could we see the design on the other side?</p><p>The stopper is brass with nice auspicous symbols and an amber glass cabochon, I suspect the brass was once gilded.
