    Hi

We discovered this snuff box amongst some items left in a recent relatives house clearance and thought if someone may know a little more about it and also whether it has any value. From our own research we thinks its Russian and silver,
    thanks

Can you get a clearer picture of this mark (or say what is depicted)?

It may indicate the assay center. It doesn't immediately look like Moscow or St. Petersburg. I wonder if this might be from some provincial jurisdiction.
Looks like it might be the 5th one down here: http://www.silvercollection.it/quaterrussiansilverhallmarks.html (listed as "unknown")
And this mark will probably show the assay master and date:

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The Russian engraving under the image says something like "view of the royal towers" (I'm not positive about the last word, though.)

I keep seeing references to "royal towers" being part of the Kremlin in Moscow. However, photos don't match up with the view of these towers. So am not sure.
