This was one of the things from the haul last weekend. Cleaned up a bit. A nice weight to it and that lovely gold softness.....!

Yes, zodiac. The original designs here go back to at least the early eighteenth century and they were a common Georgian design.

It’s a very nice one, this.

That’s gorgeous! Is it marked anywhere?

Looks high-karat, or a really good electroplated piece. If it's a one-off they sometimes weren't marked at all.

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius.

Not a mark on it. Which may mean old as dirt. I really doubt it’s plated either, the wear is all wrong, as is the heft of it.

Looks like someone gave it a good scratch to find out. Not you? It’s definitely got a nice luster you’ve got that right.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

BEAUTIFUL!!!! Marked in red also looks like some "possible" writing....but most definitely not very clear, IF it is!!!

It’s not actually scratched I think that’s a trick of the light. It’s more like hand hammering or working, if that makes sense. And nothing on it, either. The top and bottom edges have some wear, in the right way too.
