Soapstone seal figure - need help reading the signature

    I found a page for a Jerry Schwartz that does some Northwest Native American style art, but no soapstone carvings are shown.

    Maybe @komokwa or @all_fakes will look in on the thread.

    I'm not sure what that's made of , but that blotchy green and black reminds me of 1980's tourist mass produced items.
    The siggy is not that of any native artist,,,they don't sign that way...& the CANADA ....well that looks like it was brought back from a visit here....& the buyer put it there.

    I hope you didn't buy it...

    The scratches look just like I'd expect wear on soapstone to look, so I'm pretty sure it is soapstone, not resin.
    I'm not familiar enough with names to offer an opinion on the nativeness/non-nativeness of the carver though.
