SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT VINTAGE ORIENTAL/CHINESE CARPET

I found this at my friend's 2nd hand furniture store; he found it in a storage unit he won at auction.
It measures 61" x 98" (counting the fringe on ends it measures 106") & it is very thick/plush. I paid $25 for it!
It has a small cotton "tag" with Chinese characters; that's it for identification.
I'm guessing it is from the 1950's - 1970's; is there a way to tell?
I'm pretty sure it is Chinese - do I call it Chinese carpet when listing it, or oriental carpet?
Can you tell if it is handmade?
Is it safe to clean with a Rug Doctor that I can rent from a grocery store, and if not what's the best/safest way to clean it?
Anything else that may help me - this is a new area I am trying?
As always, I appreciate any help.

 

Oops, forgot 1 question! When measuring carpet (or rug?) do I count the fringe on each end as part of it's size?

yup, Chinese....I'd say newer than you're thinking.
Thick wool....if really soiled ...get it steam cleaned....
if you're selling it , I don't know what these go for today....but you'll make a profit off $25 fer sure !

These are graded by lines....like a 90 line or 80 like carpet.....the more lines the finer the carpet.
Just say 'with fringe' ...and use that total measurement.

 

And be sure to mention if the flower designs are "carved."
