Hi, I picked this up today at a thrift shop. Its pretty cool. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the maker. Also is this even a candleholder or something else? If anyone has any info that would be great thanks!

How wide is the hole in the top?

Too small for a tea light - which I think would be a better look - but could handle a regular candle, I guess. How deep is the opening?

Any chance it's signed on the bottom or somewhere?

I saw one exactly like this recently at hood will and it had a clear circular top and bottom and was a pillar candle holder marked made in China. I almost bought it anyway cause its so pretty!

Here is a picture of the opening. It goes all the way down to the bottom of the blue point. holder4.jpg

Try a Ronson or similar circular table lighter insert, good bet it would fit ..

Pretty nice bit of glass though!

Yours is also sommerso, of course!
The one you found online is very similar, and I'm sure the bottom is ground flat, right?
