He came and noticed some mobiles and small sculptures around the house, and said &quot;You need to call the Whitney.&quot; </p><p><br /></p><p>The Whitney came and said &quot;You need to call these people...&quot; Yes, they had a bunch of Calders. Tiny ones, big ones and ones in-between. His first wife grew up in CT next door to Calder and he gave her some pieces. He also gave some to her mother and when she died they were passed on to the daughter. They always had them, they were just hanging around the house! The Calder Foundation came and verified the pieces are genuine.</p><p><br /></p><p>So they sold the large one which allowed them to sell their tiny cottage and buy a beautiful new house. They still have all the other pieces.</p><p><br /></p><p>I was amazed, and also very happy for them. I have met them both and they are very nice people <img src="styles/default/xenforo/smilies/smile.png" class="mceSmilie" alt=":)" unselectable="on" />&nbsp; I was also amazed they kept this quiet, and happy they were able to.
