Thanks! It is superbly made. You’d have thought it would have an engraved signature, wouldn’t you! Originally it must have had a label.

Thanks but I think the sudden cooling would crack the neck but chilling in the fridge is worth trying.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try. Perhaps soaked in IPA overnight.

Oh, sorry. It's Greg I'm looking for. I think he knows about things like this but hasn't posted anything in a week, which is a long absence for him.

Not WD 40. Silicone spray. Not the same thing at all. I just gave you the brand of silicone spray that is most commonly found.

Oh, thanks! I just saw WD40. I’ll see if they sell one with silicone over here.

The trouble is, I think someone has twisted the stopper in hard rather than simply placing it back. Penetrating oil is a good idea - should have it at the hardware store. Thanks!

Hoom. I don't think Isle of Wight, the trails look too distinct and the colour isn't typical. I'm wondering if it's Brierley. It's a very nice thing with that petrol irridescence.

Thank you Ownedbybear, I’m glad you like it. I agree that it isn’t like IoW; I’ll look at Brierley. I’m beginning to think that it could be Australian, there being some highly accomplished glass artists here. The disc stopper is distinctive and might be a clue.

It’s probably Australian! So funny, and annoying: I just googled Australian iridescent scent bottle and found an almost identical one on Australian eBay. However, the auction has finished and no longer listed under completed auctions. The image came up on Pinterest. A step closer to the truth. Unfortunately the screenshot file size is too big to post (despite the low quality ).

If you Google australian iridescent art glass perfume bottle perfect ebay you should see it.

Indeed, that’s the one - not mine but almost identical. I wish that the auction hadn’t been deleted.

One word of caution, no matter what you try make sure to have a folded up towel under it when you try removing the top. Sometimes they slip out of your hands or pop off the bottle, the towel will keep the top from breaking.
