Picked this set up just now. All in all about 6 of the demitasse cups, 6 of the tea ones, a small plate maybe for cake, nom, a creamer and a lidded sugar. Oh and four saucers only sadly. Hopefully I can get some to make it complete. Just having a pint and a Google. Various results including miles mason, Spode, Coalport etc. looking at the pattern on the handles I'd say Spode but not sure. A couple of the pieces have numerical marks but they are buried in my bag. I'll have a root when I get home.

The sugar bowl and saucers/plates have the numerals 613 on the base. Looks like Coalport numbering maybe?

that lush gilding really sets them apart, i'd think quite a decent maker

Aye. It's got quality. I think I got there just in time. As soon as I got on the floor to look at it, I had some guy virtually sat on my shoulder. I knew if I walked away it would be gone. Not a hard decision in this case though.

All the saucers and plates are decorated differently.

is it definitely transferware, i'm presuming yes, but it sort of looks like it isn't as well

Can't tell to be honest. The colour seems to be pooled and denser in areas. But maybe that's just copied. When did transfer ware begin as I think these are early 19th.
