I see antique brooches, with two different types of manufacture of the backs as well as the closures.

Simona, I keep thinking that there is a Dutch sword mark on the back of the smallest brooch, the one on the right with the tube hinge. I could be wrong, maybe it has the fineness.
Could you post a photo please?:)

    Hi,
Thank you. It has the hallmark 900, fineness most likely. This brooch feels heavy.
    Kind regards,
    Simona

Yes, that is the fineness. It could be German.

    Hi @KSW ,
I found these brooches with different back, not sure if they qualify as bendy, but they may be something from similar period.
@Any Jewelry @Ownedbybear what is your opinion?

The first one is close, but not as subtle as 18th century ones. And the back of the bird is not an 18th century back.

The second one is a silver safety pin with a heart. Those silver safety pin brooches were fashionable for a while.

    Hi @Any Jewelry ,
Thank you for your reply. Other than what I have posted , I don’t have anything else at home, neither I could find something on Google except the website below. I wonder if you have a photo you could show us on brooch back from the 18th century.
    thank you.

I'd bet somebody here does! Just in case, that safety pin style with the heart on it says Silver and looks like a decorative kilt pin. They were popular for a while.

I don't, but you could try museum sites or search through old Antiques Roadshows that are still online
Simona's is horizontal, a kilt pin is vertical.;)
Safety pin brooches were popular, but I can't remember exactly when. 1980s maybe?

Yup, vertical and the only proper shape is the safety pin one. There's far too many nonsenses described as kilt or plaid pins.
