The question is who is it signed by? I can't make it out myself.

I found a signature under all the black "patina" but you know how signatures go. I imagine it's no one important anyway but I have to ask.

I see Martrildonno now that I've studied it a bit on here. I was thinking it was two words but then looked at it as one because of the lack of a capital letter at the break between the L and the D.

    Guess what I found?

I'm still looking for a signature on one of their pieces but the theme is correct for their designs and the logo signature is similar.

There's a link to contact shop owner P. Matrildonno. Maybe you could just ask?

I notice the M doesn't have the standard line going through it like the others do. I have looked at many examples since yesterday and have found it to be very similar except for that. I'm wondering if it's an early signature maybe? Especially since I can't find a match anywhere to this necklace. Maybe it was a custom order piece?

I sent a message yesterday after finding them. No answer so far. I did a little digging and found that it was a florida based company that voluntarily went out of business in 2004. http://search.sunbiz.org/Inquiry/Co...stNameOrder=MARTRILDONNODESIGNS P000001036110

  8. Hello, I know this is an older post but it is not a "company" really.. this is my fiance's grandfather's design. He creates everything himself and has been doing it for over 35 years. He sells his jewelry every now and then but his collection over the years has been quite huge. We have taken over running his etsy shop to help out. You can find it here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/martrildonnodesign. If you have any questions about this piece, feel free to contact us through there.

    Thank you!

I don't think that's truly necessary, although it's certainly up to Davey to decide. They have only volunteered to answer questions about the piece that started the thread.

Does anyone know if Paul Martrildonno is still alive?

I might be way off base here but Paul Martrildonno was a custom painter that specialized in motorcycles and when I knew him he had a body shop. He was a talented artist and made knives and jewelry. I knew him back in the 70's in upstate NY where I went to college and he did an incredible job of painting one of my motorcycles. I'm sure it's the same guy.
