I came across stetson hat that has gold imprint of Carl Ferguson, New gulf Texas along with Washer Bros, Fort Worth Texas. The hat had a liberty stamp underneath the sweat band. The only information i can find was Carl Ferguson was a door man for Harry Truman while he was President. There was a letter i found online where Truman gave Mr Ferguson a stetson. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just guessing (at this point, no photos available)...
Truman's own Stetsons appear to have been printed with his name. Since yours is printed with Carl's name, perhaps it was simply one of his own (not Truman's) and he was emulating Truman - a man he appeared to greatly admire - by having his own name printed in his hat.

A Truman-owned hat given to and subsequently sold by Ferguson:
