I thought I had scored a pair of small pitchers, but they ended up being Bohemian. I tried Fieldings Auctions, but the better stuff was beyond my price range and the other things weren't worth paying the postage.</p><p><br /></p><p>Then I happened upon a garage sale online and spotted what I believe to be a Steven and Williams Matsu-no-ke* by Frederick Carder, which is also called a peachblow or peach blown vase. It is 10 inches tall. Cased glass with an amber ruffle and a peach color inside. Applied Flowers. It has no mark that I can see. It glows strongly in the dark under UV light.</p><p><br /></p><p>*A design developed by Frederick Carder (1863-1963) and registered by Stevens & Williams of England in 1884. Its distinctive feature is the presence of applied and tooled sprays of blossoms influenced by Japanese designs. Source Corning Museum of Glass.</p><p><br /></p><p>So, what do you think.
