    This company (and "eigel ware") is frustratingly nowhere (except for the two mentions already posted).

    Yes, it is! I just spent a little time on it but so far have found nothing else. I just thought of one other option, though.

    The search that didn't work yesterday was in the Times Digital Archive database, to which I have access through my local university. The problem was that I couldn't get it to connect from off campus. They fixed the problem and I can now say that the terms "eigellith" and "eigel wares" do not appear in the Times (London). Just for the record...
