Featured Stone of Eliat?

    One earring is much darker than the other. I love them. Are they the stone of Eliat? I am finding ceramic pieces made to look like these, but these are genuine. Thank you. Eliat Stone Earrings.jpg

    It could be chrysocolla,etc. but there's no proof it was mined in Israel.

    Eilat stone is this sort of thing, a mixture of minerals, but similar rock can be found in locations other than Israel. If origin is unknown, there's no easy way to determine it. You'll have to love them as they are. I'm a sucker for stones in this color family myself.

    My first instinct says "no". It doesn't ring like azurite-malachite and there's no black in the stone. It looks dyed.

    Artificially brightened but no color alteration:

    For me the color is not inconsistent with specimens IDed on the Internet as Eilat stone. The problem is that stone that looks like this is not unique to that location.
