Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

And now @Malcolm, I have a question on the Donut Decanter you posted?? In the close-up I'm showing, where my arrow is pointing, but ON THE OTHER SIDE, would there be a top MISSING glass row on your beautiful Decanter? It kind of looks like it on one of your images??? BUT hoping for you that it's NOT!!!:):):)

Yes, I'm afraid the journey from England did not fair well. I showed in the first picture the lop sided shoulder.

Sorry to hear that.....but it IS so gorgeous, if selling, might not hurt it too much!!!! Guess I'd missed that......Those butterflies look like they're just lightly 'resting' on the decanter!!!!:happy:

I wish I could answer that for you, and I DO appreciate beauty, but I know little about these types of items. I'm sorry.....:sorry::(

    Are you planning on selling?
    Or insurance value?

Think you might want to search some of the high end auction houses.

I have never dealt with high end auction houses. So I don't know if that is the way to go or not.

I think though that I would at least send a couple of pictures to some and see what the response is.

    Wait for others to comment.

That's not a really great comp for yours, which is clear with transparent enamel/frit. And Cranberry. And opaque....

    I love yours.

Expect them to keep 25 to 30% of the hammer price.

JMHO unless you are seriously in need of money right now I would not commit to selling this for at least a few months. Meanwhile you could contact auction houses to see if they would be interested & when they thought they would be having their next sale for this type item.

Which in this instance might be a fairly high price. More than you might realize if you are seller on ebay.
If you have never sold on ebay, I would not start. Particularly with the better items. You need to have feedback first.
