Or the most likely to break. I think half the cameo brooches I see have had clasp, hinge and/or pin stem replaced.

@kyratango what do yo think the brooch might look like?
Disregard about seeing one. Pinterest tricked me.
Would it just have gold ivy?

@Huntingtreasure I think the brooch would have ivy and roses too to match the parure...:cyclops:
To avoid pinterest when googling, you have to type a space then -pinterest after your keywords:)

If you select 'Settings' & then 'Advanced Search' you can apply various filters in the usual way, including 'none of these words', which can make the typing easier if you have a string of words you want to eliminate.

An oval brooch would match the locket, a bit like this, but more like the parure:

Thanks AJ! I found some eventually convenient in the spirit of, but not really matching...
Size must be 1.5" or 4cm to fit the gap in the case:pompous:

I just checked some Dutch and German sites that you may not usually visit, but nothing yet.:( I'll keep an eye out.:cyclops:
Most seem to have the lovely little Japonaiserie birds that would match my bracelet, but your set needs roses and ivy.

    Here is the complementary brooch!
The difference in color is only due to reflection :joyful:

It is beautiful, kyra, very nicely detailed. It ties in with the shape of the links.:)

You are correct. That is just the date the design was registered. It could be made any time after that. The design was only protected for a given no of years. I can't remember how many off the top of my head. The national archives are really useful to research design numbers.

Don't know exactly... the gold and platinum testing acids are still good 1 year after the opening :bucktooth: the silver one I tried to use after 6 months didn't work...
