    Composite of the Ionic and Corinthian orders. Is it wood or resin?

    I'm assuming a hard resin. Feels more like ceramic.

    Ah, so two of the three classical Greek designs! It came from a mostly-antique collection. Do you think it, too, is over 100 years old or just vintage?

    thought the same. gesso either reinforced or covered by wet linen over a crudely shaped wooden form ?
