    Hi there!
I’m trying to find some more information about this gaming set.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
Given to me by older relatives over 10 years ago.
It is in good condition and has a label that says made in Florence from briar wood but there is no mark regarding the maker?

    Can anyone help??

    thank you! 83A5E427-DDFE-4D32-91C8-CD6D30B854B1.jpeg 7A924382-FFB6-4DA5-B490-8B48B974F44F.jpeg EE402379-82F1-454F-9F50-83D8DDC011A1.jpeg FC0FAC45-01F6-460E-8B23-D6036D16BA87.jpeg FA1AE9F3-7D63-45FB-BA1E-10F6D992D364.jpeg A77E51B5-C97C-439F-93B0-69436AE5E188.jpeg

    Welcome to the board.

I'm only guessing here, but from the general look of your set, I'm going to guess 1970s or thereabouts.

Is there anything written on the poker chips? I'm guessing not, but had to ask.

    It's a lovely set.
    Wait for others to comment.

Do the square poker chips have printing? What does it look like?
Are there playing cards? Can we see a photo please?

Is there a backgammon board? I'd think late 1970s/early 1980s.

    Brookstones catalog? Hammacher Schlemmer?

Both very good possibilities. The kind of thing one saw in an in-flight shopping catalog during that period.

I remember reading when the in-flight shopping people closed their business. Very sad. That was part of the fun - reading all the crazy things you could buy.

Thank you all for such an amazing welcome and feedback! I had moved it into storage (well protected/will not get damaged) so I’ll try and get pics soon of the poker chips etc. to see if there’s any further identifying details/branding. Looked into all of your suggestions and am loving the hint to identify it! Thank you all so much, stay safe!

@lilypossum There used to be that chain store "The Bombay Company" that was in malls , sort of like "Restoration Hardware" or "Pottery Barn", they used to sell a lot of stuff like that ....

When you run out of money on the betting games you can play chess! Although, I'm sure people bet on that as well.

I have a poker set that is the same briarwood construction. Mine has the exact same made in Florence card and is old stamped Brooks Brothers. Playing cards are new in cellophane and made in Italy. Comes with round unmarked poker chips and poker dice.
