I got this jar at an estate sale in a fancy part of town. The inscription / stamp on the bottom is only partially legible.

The first word may be Taos, as in the town. (The sale had NA and New Mexico art, including numerous masks by Lillian Pitt.)

Does anyone have a guess as to what the second part may say?

    Thank you in advance.

The first letters look to me like, JASCHI _ _ _

Not knowing a single thing about studio pottery, could it be from the 70s? The last two could be a weird looking 7, then a 5.

    Guess: JASCHIK 75

    Probably not a K...
