Featured Studio pottery

I cannot remember where I picked this up, likely car boot. It’s 11ins diameter and 3ins deep. I’m hoping someone might recognise the makers mark but I can’t figure out what to call the symbol to start looking and also the other mark, is it 02, 2D, NO, DN, OD? Any suggestions please? I’m in UK which could be where it was made.Thanks.

Wow, thank you very much @say_it_slowly! I didn’t manage to ID any letters correctly then. I doubt I would have found it at all. Was this one you knew as looking at this site I don’t know what the symbol was to look for and as I said none of the letters look like his name initials to me?

 

Actually I had no idea. My first go-to is usually The Marks Project which is American and I knew there was a British one also but while looking for that site I discovered this one. I just fiddled with possible initials until this ID came up.

I suppose the marks must mean something to him but not an easy one to identify at all. Thanks again.

 

I can imagine the one mark might be a combined TY for Taggs Yard where the pottery is located but no idea on the other.
