Can anyone tell me if this sterling swirl glass bead necklace is Czech or Murano? (or other?). Thank you! 20200505_092335.jpg watermarked_15886856613961.jpg watermarked_15886856886136.jpg

Have seen lots of Murano beads like the blue ones. Where the necklace was constructed...?

thanx Bronwen! so if I sell, can I refer to the beads as Murano glass?

You can always cover yourself with 'Murano type beads'. Also 'Swarovski type crystals'. I can't tell the color of the metal. Guessing silver tube beads, bead caps, spacer beads, chain & lobster claw clasp.

I could have made this with my limited skills. Guessing home craftsperson, but one who did very good, tight work.

It's very new. Beads might be decent Chinese even.

Are the glass beads hollow?. I only ask because I have some similar ones that I took off a modern necklace and they are hollow.

Good question. I was assuming they are.

I wonder if they are like this?
The thickness of the glass is best seen by looking at the bead hole on the blue one. The darker area shows how thin the glass is. Don't know if it helps to locate where these hollow ones are made? Completely irrelevant of course if the OPs are solid!.
I don't know where mine came from so I'm probably just confusing the matter further!

Think what I really meant to say, how the hollow ones are usually described, is Venetian glass.

I was finding similar under Venetian glass, then description would say made in Murano. Go with Venetian.
