How would you describe these glass beads? Carved, molded, something else? Any thoughts as to origins of the beads appreciated. Thanks!
Apologies - they looked clean until the camera close-up!

That is an interesting necklace. I think it was made by someone who took different pieces and put them together. I made beaded jewelry for a long time and those large brass findings just don't go with the beads. Also, you'd see the largest bead in the center and the caps would go toward the center on each side, not all going in one direction. I love the color of the beads.

Those are some gorgeous beads - looks to me like they're lamp-worked rather than molded. Agree the bead-caps and arrangement are unusual, but suspect it's original - the chunky choker length with the hook and beaded extension make me think it may be post-WWII Neu Gablonz...

Is anything stamped on the hook?

Nothing stamped on the hook. It's short, about 14.5 inches.

Not an unusual length, have had quite a few chokers right around that length, including West German - for the most part, people are larger now. I'm tall, with what I'd consider a fairly muscular neck, and 15" is a bit tight for comfort, but a friend who's almost my height, is very slender and fine-boned, doubt her neck is even 12"...
