Symbolism of dagger & horseshoe?

    How can you be certain that it originally came with that box?

    Of course there's no way of knowing if the box is original to it.

    I always thought kilt stuff to be more substantial. This is just a delicate two inch pin.

    The dagger symbolizes honour or justice, the horseshoe luck.
    (The horsehoe is originally an ancient symbol of the Mother Goddess, which is why people shouldn't fuss which position it is in.)
    Kilt pins are closed to prevent harm to arteries or uhm delicate parts.:inpain::playful:

    There's many a thing called a kilt pin which is nothing of the sort. Tradition is a huge one that looks like a safety pin.

    That looks like a lapel stick pin. There's a thing about horseshoes that way up being loss of luck.
