So far I’ve found they are made by Victorian of Montgomery Alabama and are dating around 1930’s-1940’s. The tops are Italian marble. I think the paint may be original after all because it’s flecked meticulously with gold and in parts of the label that’s coming up I can see the paint peeking up from under it. Is it worth trying to strip it down? I’m also considering if putting a coat of clear varnish over the label is a good idea. I touched a corner of one of the labels and it started disintegrating!</p><p><br /></p><p>Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
