Tang style figurine

I found this in Burnley some time last year. It intrigued me but I thought that the ceramic was too white to have any age. Anyway, after it gathering dust on my shelf I was happy to see it go for £20 (It cost me £3). The buyer has just left feedback

"A very fine figure of a large Chinese lady, possibly dating back to the Ming Dynasty. Chips to the base, but otherwise in remarkably good condition. Secure packaging. Prompt delivery. Thank you."

I know nothing about the subject which doesn't stop me from sharing my ill-informed opinion. I'm seeing many sancai-glazed tomb figures on the internet and, not surprisingly, they look old. Yours doesn't.

Yes I agree. I think white porcelain only came about after a certain point in time, when they started bleaching it.
