    I am not a joolie, but I concur with Ruth about the elephant. I have one that is similar that I received as a gift when I was knee high to a grasshopper to wear on a necklace.

    thanks pearls, i forgot what a bootsale can be like when the right sellers turn up (it was a really hot one, so a big turn out)

    there was a few other things i forgot about,a signed/framed norman wisdom photo and others bits as well

    Very neat. I’m sure you know some of that old fishing stuff can do quite well. Lures and reels more than other stuff but the graphics on that piece are fantastic.

    Also ties (no pun intended) back to a time when Scotland had a healthy salmon fishery. Maybe they still do but I bet it isn’t what it used to be. Possibly extra nostalgia value there. I bet they were just flying out of the water back then.

    the lady i bought them from said she had loads of them, and was stupid enough to not ask where

    funnily enough i've just bought a fly fishing set up (from a charity shop) for sea bass this summer, been watching lots of youtubes on it and its definetly a thing

    can't wait to try it out to be honest

    these will be waaaaay to small though

    we actually get salmon in salt water here as well this time of year, so that would be really something

    my first ever job was killing salmon, my step dad and uncle would do the netting, and me the head bonking, didn't bother me at all at the time

    wonderful times, got a great photo of me holding up 4 belters, will try and dig out ;)

    The Heffalumps turn up with the woozles, or however they're spelled. Scared the honey jar off of Pooh! Or were those huffalumps? I have a difficult time keeping the two straight.

    the award medal i'm thinking silver, but finding it very odd that it looks victorian,yet 1953inscribed on back ?????:confused:

    i think norman wouldn't have minded ;):smug: (thats a way cool little wooden / brass/ glass kaleidoscope)
