Thin Asian porcelain plate signed

    I have 2 of these small plates, one is signed the other is not. What do all these faces mean ? who signed it ?

    Japanese, marked 井元, read Imoto or Inomoto.

    It looks like some version of 'Thousand Faces' though I can't say I've ever seen it in medallions or cartouches like this.

    This type porcelain is usually referred to as "eggshell porcelain" for obvious reasons.
