This is one of the other pieces of cutlery that I found and cannot find anything about it online. It has a stamp but well, hmmm, I have no idea. I guess this is one for the experts. It is sort of heavy. Weighs 2.89 oz. You see, I live in an extremely old house with three attics. Find really fun stuff sometimes. meat fork unmarked 1.png meat fork unmarked 2.png meat fork unmarked 3.png meat fork unmarked 4.png

If the "odd stamp" you mentioned is in the next to last picture, that's simply an owner's monogram initial and nothing to do with the maker. Maker's marks on "hollow handle" pieces are usually found on the narrow sides of the handle or on the round bolster that connects the handle to the fork tines (those can be tough to read.)

The pattern does look familiar, though, so give me some time to take a look in my books.

I'm not sure I'd call that "very old." Old, yes.

That last picture is what I thought was the odd stamp. Ok now that you have given me some information I found a worn mark on the side of the handle and can read enough that it again says 1847 Rogers Bros. Just the tops of the letters but I could read it because of the last one and your information. Thanks again.
