<p>[QUOTE="J Dagger, post: 4500214, member: 10944"]This lil weapon came in a group of GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) items I bought at auction. I thought it was really interesting and might not have bought the lot were it not present. Not sure if it’s GAR related or not? I can’t tell if the enamel monogram is an artistic rendering of GAR? The middle letter seems to be an ‘A’ but before that looks like an Anchor and after it idk. Final photo shows an example in the middle of a GAR emblem it could be. It seems to be silver but isn’t marked that I can tell. It’s really nicely made for such a dainty thing. Any opinions on it? Could have gone in the hands of a little figure/statue maybe? Could have been attached to a ribbon or piece of jewelry? The little peg thingy on back I’m assuming is there for a good reason. Wasn’t sure if it was leftover from manufacturing process or functional to final object?
