    Hi,
I knew I should not have said my feelings about Kinkade. Yesterday the cartoon, today an advertising post card came with the title "What makes a Masterpiece" and the painting of course is a kinkade. I have seen nothing for almost a year and now it is even coming to my door. EEeeeeeek.

I have one of those yard-long prints in one of my bathrooms - Dante Gabriel Rosetti. And an enchanting Charles Twelvetrees in another. I find it interesting that certain pieces of art can indicate to the owner where they would be most comfortable.

Or, that they just won't work ANYwhere! I have a little Dutch print that I have owned for at least thirty years, and a French one since 1998. They are both really beautiful, but they do NOT like being anywhere in my house except my print box. :(

I watched a show on Kinkade years ago. While he was being interviewed, he had a magic marker and a stack about four feet high of paintings. As he talked, he signed his name on the back of each one. His studio aides had actually painted them. He said this as he wrote. Of course, that's why a lot of classical works are attributed to the "school of Da Vinci" etc. This has always been done.
