Thoughts/Information on Oriental Painting - Signature Doesn't Look Like Characters

    I found this painting at a thrift store last week - it's painted on silk I think.
    Has anyone seen or can tell me about the signature (above the red stamp) - it doesn't look like Chinese or Japanese characters to me?
