Thoughts on Haitian Painting; Help w/Signature

    This is a painting I found at a local estate sale - can anyone help me with the signature?
    Also any thoughts on it would be appreciated - my girlfriend is suggesting I give up on art because I seem to like/buy student paintings or factory paintings all the time. She told me whatever the opposite is for someone with a green thumb when it comes to gardening; I have the same opposite thumb when it comes to art! (OK, it was a little funny!)

    This is definitely a tourist piece or factory piece. Or both. It's not bad art for what it is, and if you're going to hang it it's worth the money.
