Amazing speed & confidence for a late 19th/earl 20th century painter-so bold and new it changed Art (w/ a Capitol A) forever-his slashing, blocky, 2-dimensional surface technique led to Cubism, and that led to Abstract.

The art you pick for your personal environment is completely subjective, and meant to enrich your and/or your loved one's lives.
Most of us don't live w/ New York Times art critics or the judges of the Venice Biennale- so go with your gut.
PS-Also,when I'm picking for resale I'm using a whole diif instinct than when buying for Us.

I have all the professional background but I still buy things by students and amateurs because I love the look of them. There is no pedigree needed when buying to enjoy something! :D

As I've said elsewhere, I'm a big fan of "kid art". Little kids tend to go for bright colors and design things the way they think it should look, not according to some accepted "school of" whatsit.
