[QUOTE="journeymagazine, post: 11188822, member: 84"]I didnt buy the painting/print I asked about here yesterday, but I did buy this bronze? Statue that's been made into a lamp + a Chinese glazed elephant garden stool - trying to expand my knowledge! I wasnt sure about the statue/lamp because the back of the base was flat; like it was meant to stand against a wall, but when I did a image search of the statue several turned up with the same flat base, saying it was a early 1800s Bronze statue of a India figure Lakshmi! My question is, is mine the same/real one but converted into a lampl like it looks like? Is it bronze? It measures just under 22" (33" with lamp harp) & the shade came with it, but I don't think it's the original? PS - last pics are of the glazed elephant garden stool (used so you don't have to be on your knees while gardening) Finally, did I do good with these 2 purchases (I know they were better than buying the print!) As always, thank you & I appreciate your help!
