I found this poster yesterday at my reg thrift store - I think it's one of the coolest posters I've seen! But when I did a image search (I used 2nd photo; close up of art w/o frame), I couldn't find another example?

Has anyone seen this poster before? It's not a fantasy piece or a weekend artist's work is it?

    Thanks for any help.

It's a great example of the early desktop publishing/computer-generated illustration era. Definitely not a weekend artist piece. Could very well have been created using one of the top two players in the vector illustration software programs back in the day: Adobe Illustrator, or Aldus Freehand.

Unlike raster programs like Photoshop, vector graphics can be enlarged or reduced to any size without degradation of the image quality.

It really does typify the time period both in terms of the style, and the somewhat sacrilegious distortion of the fonts. Some early computer illustration enthusiast would love to have it.

It looks like it says Burnett just above the lower banner. The artist perhaps?

I don't see "International" on your poster. Am I missing it?

Debora your right! I don't know why I thought it had International in it except I posted this around 5:30am on my first cup of coffee! Sorry.

Sabre it's funny you said that - this painting came off same truck/same house and I looked for Dawl Lo like the signature says but all I found was a Dawn Lo - a illustrator / children's books illustrator/artist?

That's a souvenir painting from the Andes. Bolivia probably.

And the name is probably Danilo, a common Italo-Iberian name certainly seen frequently in South America.
