THRIFT STORE FIND - HELP w/SIGNATURE ON OLD PAINTING OF OLD MAN!

Found this today - it's a small (10 x 7 art alone) painting of a old man and the signature is almost unreadable! I know it starts with a M, but that's about it.
Can anyone tell who the artist is? Or maybe can change the tint so it can be seen better?
As always I appreciate all your help guys!

LOL that was my very first thought too. Name looks like it ends in 'ini', something Italian.

 

I guess this is another one you bought from Love The Hunt?

Silly pictures - sometimes better than friends

 

I bought it from same old man who finds things in the thrift store & sells it to people for a small finders fee - but when I told him to look at my ebay profile & watch something sell that we'd made a deal on he said he didn't have/use a computer! Either my guy is buying from lovesthehunt or he's the guy I've been dealing with (and is slyer than I gave him credit for!)

Another thing - he sold it to me for $10 which I think is more than fair. So ,,, o I don't know! lol I do know when I see & ask him if it's him (lovethehunt) he's going to deny it - again! sheesh

OK, so here's another effort, but not saying much better than previous!!!! But it's in THREE different colors for ya!!!!! LOOKS like it should be easy, but oh-so-NOT!!!! Just can't grab enough contrast on it.......sorry!
