Tiny door? Mystery Cabinet

    Hi Board! So we've had this cabinet in our garage forever. It is so unusual in its shape and the the tiny door feature. I have no idea where it's from ... region or era. Can anyone solve this mystery? My kids have always wondered. IMG_3174.JPG

    Does it have 3 legs and only a 'front'? That's what the picture from this angle looks like.

    It has 4 legs and is about 2 feet deep. Haha, yes you are right – the pic is deceiving.

    Id guess 1960s-70s Mexican. The tiny door is just that,a door to the cabinet. I could be wrong though,and welcome aboard. :)

    Don't think México. I'd look East.

    Agreed. I'd have thought Indonesian or similar.

    I think Indonesian might be correct! I did a search and found the attached sample. Still doesn't explain why the door is so darn small. The storage cavity is the entire width/depth of the cabinet but such a small entry doesn't seem practical or functional.
