It&#039;s a Tlingit double eagle bowl (1980) by Charlie Jimmie Sr. (Tlingit, 1932-2016) that was featured in the seminal Alaskan exhibit/art competition <i>Wood, Ivory and Bone</i> that toured Alaska in 1981. It was also published in the accompanying catalogue in two places. Charlie signed it on the bottom and it&#039;s in excellent condition. I very carefully matched up carving marks, and then called the studio where Charlie carved - it turns out he only carved one like this. Proof that shocking and amazing things can come off of eBay. Charlie Jimmie was a great friend and I’m honoured to have this bowl - just wanted to share!
