My finds from the car boot sale this morning. Not a lot of good stuff out there but some fun bits and pieces.

Where’s the moonstone KSW? I thought the one with the z tag was something else, labradorite? Are the first pic cut beads quartz? I like the earrings.

 

Yes, labradorite!. When I typed moonstone my brain told me it was wrong but didn’t supply me with an alternative!!
No, the beads top left are a rather lowly plastic West German affair but I like their attempt to look like crackled glass.

 

They call that white labradorite "rainbow moonstone". Those blue ones look like they have a 1930s clasp on them, Czech probably. Looks like at least one of us scored!

 

It looks like smoky quartz on my screen.

 

Here’s another pic. I can’t get it in the photo but it has that deep reflective effect. It’s set in silver. I have to be honest and admit I thought it was shell until my 8 year old insisted I took a second look!

 

So do I. Don’t think they are anything special as no marks on them but they have a dated look to them that I like.

I grabbed them off the table with unladylike enthusiasm and happily paid my £1

 

In these photos it looks like low grade labradorite.

 

Gimme the clips and no one gets hurt.

 

There is no "ladylike" when something that hot pops up! There is only GIMME!

 

The cat would be great for a Halloween outfit. I have a cookie cutter that is sort of the same pattern, hunched back with tail in the air and it was sold as a Halloween holiday cutter back in the day.

 

Good call. I’ll hold it until then!

Hi @KSW are you based in the UK? If so, I think that Z tag necklace is a range called Z that was created for the shop Accessorize. The range was designed by the daughter of the founder of Accessorize, Zara Simon, who is a jewellery designer. The jewellery tends to be plated metal, such as gold plated, and some of them have semi-precious stones too.

 

Earrings are probably German. Picked up several pairs like that there.

I didn’t know about Zara. I’m familiar with the usual Accessorize stamp but not this one. It is stamped 925 so not plated but I will investigate further with that lead. Thank you.
