Solid sterling, by comparison - won&#039;t. </p><p><br /></p><p>Everybody knows that EP isn&#039;t the real thing, so why should they buy it, when they could find a similar item in actual silver, sometimes for exactly the same price, or just a small amount more? They see buying silver, as opposed to EP, as being more value for money, more worth it. </p><p><br /></p><p>Given the opportunity, of course most people would buy the better-quality item, if they could afford it or justify the price. And because it&#039;s worth more, it&#039;s easier to sell later, should they choose to. People don&#039;t want to buy EP, because they think - well, it&#039;s not ACTUAL silver, so why should anybody else want it? And if they don&#039;t, then how the hell am I going to sell it later, should I choose to?</p><p><br /></p><p>People feel more secure in buying solid, rather than EP, because they know that they CAN sell it, if they want to. That isn&#039;t guaranteed with EP, because people don&#039;t like buying second-best if they can help it. </p><p><br /></p><p>THIS is why EP has the reputation that it has.
