Featured Train wreck photo's

    While these won't qualify as antique I still got a kick out of them. These are all photo's that either my FIL or his Father took. Since some of the equipment is steam powered on the one set I am assuming 30's but that is pure guess. Some of the others I think were early 50's. My FIL started on the B&O in 1947 and his father in appx 1910.

    Were a couple of these submitted to newspapers at the time?
    I swear there are a couple that I have seen before.

    Anything is possible though it was never mentioned to me. We found them and the negatives tucked away in the attic in shoe boxes.

    These wrecks were all most likely on the B&O in northern West Virginia.

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BOARED!

    In looking deeper in, that circus train wreck in 1918 that killed 89 and injured another 150 was horrific!!!!!

    Amazing how many trains were on the second story.
